The sourness of the lemon and blackberry in the cube ties into the slightly sour taste of the Champagne. And the woody herbaceousness of the thyme tones down the sourness to just the right amount.

- 1 Blackberry Lemon Thyme Mixicles® cube
- 2 ounces rye whiskey
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- ½ ounce lemon juice
- Blackberries or lemon twist for garnish (optional)
Directions (makes 2):
Add the Mixicles® cube, rye, simple, and lemon to a shaking tin, and shake until you can’t hear rattling in the tin. Add ice, shake for 10 more seconds, and strain into two chilled flutes or coupes. Top with Champagne and garnish with blackberries or a lemon twist.
