The perfect summer cocktail should be light, crisp, refreshing, and cold. That's why mojitos are the ideal warm-weather drink — the combination of fresh mint, lime juice, sugar, rum and soda water, served over ice, hits all the right notes.
This fun variation on the classic mojito recipe incorporates blueberries and basil. The slightly sweet and floral flavors of these ingredients balance out the tartness of the lime and add complexity to the overall taste. Plus, the brilliant hue that the blueberries contribute makes for a beautiful and festive purple-colored cocktail. ¡Salud!
