One of our favorite summer drinks is the Beer Caesar. A cross between a Bloody Mary and a Michelada, a good Caesar should meet two criteria: zesty flavors that pull through when you drink it and edible garnish. This one does both, and definitely isn't shy with the garnish!
Start by taking a lemon wedge and rubbing it on the rim of a tall glass. Dip the glass in a spice mix like Tajín or Trader Joe's new Ajika Georgian Seasoning Blend. Add two Jalapeño Citrus Mixicles cubes plus some ice to the glass, and then pour in the beer (a light beer or pale ale works best). Next add the Clamato juice, a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce to taste, and some green olives. Finish it off with fresh lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and garnish the glass with a lemon wheel, celery stick, hamburger slider, and shrimp.
- 2 Jalapeño Citrus Mixicles® cubes
- 6 oz. beer, chilled
- 6 oz. Clamato or tomato juice
- Green olives (optional)
- Worcestershire sauce, to taste
- Hot sauce, to taste
- .5 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice plus a few lemon wedges
- Chili powder seasoning rim
- Salt & pepper
- Celery, cocktail shrimp, and hamburger slider for garnish
How to Mix:
Rub the rim of a tall glass with a lemon wedge and dip it into the seasoning. Add two Jalapeño Citrus cubes and ice to the glass. Pour in the beer and Clamato juice. Add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce, plus a few green olives. Finish by adding the lemon juice and a bit of salt and pepper. Garnish with a lemon wedge, celery stick, shrimp, and slider.
