We recently had the chance to sample and pick up a bottle of Statehouse Gin from Ohio-based High State Distillery Co. Its citrus-forward aroma makes for a really nice sipping gin, and it's perfect for pairing with Cranberry Rose Mixicles® in this spin on a French 75 cocktail.
In addition to cranberry juice and rose water, the Mixicles cubes contain orange simple syrup, which ties in beautifully with the blood orange notes of the gin. And the rose water provides a subtle hint of floral flavor.
- 2 oz. gin
- 2 Cranberry Rose Mixicles® cubes
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- Champagne or other dry sparkling wine to top
How to Mix:
In a cocktail tin, shake the Cranberry Rose Mixicles® with the gin and simple syrup until the cubes dissolve. Pour into a coupe or champagne glass and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with orange peel.
