The hickory in our Smoked Black Cherry cubes combines with the bitterness of the amaro to bring out the subtle spice notes of the whiskey. If you use a whiskey with cherry notes, you’ll pull that flavor through the drink.
Can you make this drink without thawing the Mixicles cube? Certainly! It just means you’ve got a cocktail that evolves as you sip, which is kinda our thing.

Smoky Backyard Manhattan
- 1 Smoked Black Cherry Mixicles® cube
- 1 ounce amaro
- 2 ounces bourbon (or rye for a spicier kick)
- Luxardo cherries and orange peel for garnish (optional)
Let the Mixicles® cube thaw a little, and then add it, the amaro, and the whiskey to a mixing glass, fill with ice, and stir for 30 seconds. Strain into a glass and top with cherries and an orange peel. Turn the burgers one last time. Sip.
